Led the Billings Mustangs to the Pioneer League championship in his first professional season in 1992 batting .286 with a .521 slugging percentage, 12 homers and 37 rbi...Rated by BASEBALL AMERICA as the top prospect in the league...Led Class-A Winston-Salem to the Carolina League Southern Division second-half title and playoff championship in 1993 battting .280 with 21 homers and and a league-high 91 rbi...Named a Carolina League League All-Star...Named to Class-A All-Star team by TOPPS and BASEBALL AMERICA and was named the number 2 prospect in Reds system...Began the 1994 campaign at Chattanooga where he posted a .996 fielding percentage, committing only one error in 248 total chances over 116 games in which he hit for a .241 average with 7 home runs and 41 rbi losing rest of the time to being on the DL...Batted .293 with 10 homers and 39 rbi in just 181 at-bats with Chattanooga before promotion to Class-AAA Indianapolis where he proceeded to hit at a .259 pace with 8 home runs and 37 rbi for balance of the 1995 season...Rated as the Reds' No. 7 prospect by BASEBALL AMERICA who also rated him as the club's best power-hitting prospect and outfielder with the best arm...Started off the 1996 at Indianapolis appearing in 103 games on the season hitting for a .262 average with 9 homers and 47 rbi before being promoted to the Cincinatti Reds on 4-22-1996...Had a double for his first major league hit off Jeff Fassero of the Montreal Expos on 4-24-1996 in his second big league game...Moved back and forth a few times finishing the season with a .215 batting average with 3 homers and 6 rbi in 79 at-bats...In 1997 he batted a combined .317 with 12 home runs and 77 runs batted in with AA-Chattanooga and AAA-Indianapolis...Hit .417 in first five games with Indianapolis in 1998 before being traded to the Texas Rangers for a player to be named later on 4-18-1998...Batted .500 in eight games for Class AA-Tulsa before being moved up to Class AAA-Oklahoma batting a combined .292 with 4 homers and 31 rbi in 87 games between the three stops...Signed as a free agent with Chicago White Sox on 12-17-1998 and spent the entire 1999 season with the Charlotte Knights of the International League where he compiled a .321 average with 20 homers and 94 rbi...Named to the IL All-Star team...Signed by Toronto Blue Jays as a free agent on 11-17-1999...In playing with the Syracuse Skychiefs he was named the International League Most Valuable Player and was a AAA All-Star after establishing career highs with 33 home runs and 102 rbi...Named to BASEBALL AMERICA's AAA All-Star Team...Played in the IL All-Star Game and was named to the IL post-season All-Star team...Contract was purchased by the Toronto Blue Jays on 9-5-2000, making his first promotion to the major leagues since 1996...Appeared in only three games with Toronto, including two starts in right field...Was acquired by the Florida Marlins for a player to be named later on 1-16-2001 and is playing with their Class AAA-Calgary Cannons team as this 2001 season moves ahead...
