THREE CANADIANS LISTED ON
BASEBALL AMERICA'S TOP 100
PROPECTS LIST

OTTAWA – Baseball America has unveiled its annual Top 100 High School Prospects list and two Canadians have been included.

Kellin Deglan (Langley, BC) is the highest ranked Canadian on the prospect list, coming in at number 66.  Also joining Deglan is Evan Grills (Whitby, ON) who is ranked at number 75 and Evan Rutckyi (Windsor, ON) who is ranked at number 99.

Deglan is a 6-foot-2, 190 pound, 17-year-old catcher with the Canadian Junior National Team.  During a Summer International Series in 2009 against the USA Collegiate National Team and the Cuban Junior National Team, Deglan had a home run and four RBI in nine games played.

Grills, who was a member of the Junior National Team at the 2008 World Junior Baseball Championship in Edmonton, Alberta, is 17-years-old and stands at 6-foot-5, 205 pound.

The left-handed pitcher went 1-1 with a 3.45 ERA in three games (two starts) at the 2008 World Juniors.
