Votto’s spectacular MVP season saw him finish in the top three in all Triple Crown categories with a .336 batting average, 37 homeruns and 113 RBI’s. Votto’s play propelled his Cincinnati Reds into the post season for the first time since 1995 as they won the National League’s Central Division. Votto’s list of accomplishments in 2010 includes being named to the National League All-Star team and being selected as the winner of the Hank Aaron Award for the National league.

At the 2009 World Baseball Classic against Team USA, the Etobicoke, ON native brought a packed house of Canadian fans out of their seats when he hit a mammoth homerun into the second deck at Rogers Centre. Votto ended his memorable afternoon going 4-for-5 with 2 RBI.

Since 2003 the banquet has served as the primary fundraiser for the National Teams program. Many of the programs’ Major League alumni and current national team players attend the banquet each year, along with several professional and amateur baseball executives and dignitaries.

In addition to honouring some of the National Teams current and former players, a silent auction featuring some unbelievable prizes will certainly be something you will not want to miss!
