MONTREAL The Montreal Expos today announced that an amount up to $42,500 coming from its Community Fund will be donated to Baseball-Québec. A percentage of this amount is related to ticket sales during the current season. The announcement was made by Expos' Executive Vice President, Business Affairs Claude Delorme.
Since 1994, the Expos have now donated approximately $400,000 to Baseball-Québec. The Expos also support and actively promote the Académie of Baseball of Canada (ABC) based in Montréal and the elite team Les Ailes du Québec, while management, players, coaches and office personnel assist with baseball clinics, coaches' clinics and press conferences. "This year, we are also offering tickets to all teams associated with Baseball-Québec for the Saturday night game of August 16 against the San Francisco Giants and Barry Bonds for the nominal fee of $1.00 per seat," said Delorme. "Before the game, a baseball clinic for the kids will be held on the field at Olympic Stadium under the supervision of the Expos' coaching staff and many players" MONTREAL EXPOS 20 June 2003 |
