EXPOS' LONGEST HOMESTAND OF THE SEASON
AT THE BIG O 12 GAMES IN 12 DAYS

Montreal The Expos will stage their longest homestand of the season - 12 games in 12 days - starting July 23rd, as the New York Mets will fly into town for a short two-game series. The Mets will be followed by the team with the best record in baseball, the Atlanta Braves for four games, Friday night through Monday night. The St. Louis Cardinals will be at the stadium next Tuesday night for three games to end the month of July while the Milwaukee Brewers will conclude the stand with a three-game series as well to start the month of August. The Expos are 6-4 against the Mets this season; 4-6 against the Braves; 0-3 against the Cards and 3-0 against the Brew Crew for an overall record of 13-13 against the four teams.
The probable pitching matchups for the Mets/Expos series are as follows Tomorrow night @ 7:05: Joe Wong Seo (5-6, 3.83) vs. Javier Vazquez (7-6, 3.75) Thursday @ 7:05: LHP Tom Glavine (6-10, 5.10) vs. Livan Hernandez (9-6, 3.63)
SPECIAL EVENTS
Sunday - July 27 vs. Braves - Give-away of 5,000 collectible miniature cards. Also, fans in attendance will be able to watch on the giant screen highlights of the induction of Gary Carter into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The Expos will be represented at the ceremonies in Cooperstown by Tony Tavares, Claude Delorme, Omar Minaya and Ron Piché.
Friday - August 1 vs. Brewers - Expos / CKAC Blood Drive, from 10 :00 a.m. to 7 :00 p.m. Honorary co-chairpersons are Ron Piché and Sportscaster Pierre Trudel. Each donor will receive a pair of tickets for that night game or for the Monday, August 25 game against the Phillies. Players and personalities from the Expos and CKAC will be present among the donors throughout the day.
Saturday - August 2 vs. Brewers - Tribute to Gary Carter who will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Fans will receive up to 20,000 color 8x10 souvenir photos of Carter; 5,000 commemorative coins. Also, 100 lucky fans will win a baseball autographed by the newest Hall of Famer.
Sunday - August 3 vs. Brewers -Youppi!'s Birthday & Bobbleheads - Gates will open at 10:00 am for the on-field fare (inflatable games, clowns, mascots, face painters, autograph session, etc) and 5,000 Youppi! Bobbleheads will be distributed at the door.
Family Weekends - On every Saturday and Sunday of the home schedule, children 15 years old and under can benefit from a 50% rebate on Box Seats, Terrace and General Admission tickets.
