St. Marys When Keri Favacho purchased a ticket in the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum's Lotto Draw, she considered it nothing more than a donation. Now, she and her husband Randy can complete their home renovation project, as Favacho was the lucky winner of ten thousand dollars cash on Saturday night. She had the option of claiming $15,000 worth of lottery tickets, but decided to go with the sure thing.
"Our children Thelia (8) and Haydn (6) both participate in the Hall of Fame's winter indoor baseball clinic along with another 150 local children and the Hall doesn't charge a nickel," said a gleaming Favacho. "Also, our kids' teams play on the beautiful fields at the Hall, where local teams play for free. We felt the least we could do to say thanks was to buy a ticket. Now, we have ten thousand more reasons to love the Hall of Fame!"
Ten additional winners of $100 worth of lottery tickets were also drawn, and those winners were: Corey Connor of Windsor, Donna Stacey of St. Marys, Helen Black of St. Marys, Rick Blackman of St. Marys, Roy Aitcheson of Stratford, Berny Wydeven of St. Marys, Robert Young of Thorndale, Liz Salmon of Acton, Angela Strickland of Stratford, and Bill & Jodi Nakluski of St. Marys.
Congratulations to all winners, and thanks to all those who were kind enough to purchase one.
