11-13-1964 – Former MLB pitcher then later CINCINNATI REDS Manager FREDERICK CHARLES HUTCHINSON dies of cancer at the age of 45 in Bradenton, Florida. In ten seasons pitching with the DETROIT TIGERS he compiled a 95-71 record with a 3.73 ERA.

11-15-2003 – C EARL JESSE BATTEY JR died at the age of 68 in Ocala, Florida. He was regarded as the best catcher in MINNESOTA TWINS history and one of the top catchers in the majors during the 1960s. In Game 3 of the 1965 World Series, he ran into a neck-high crossbar in DODGER STADIUM chasing a foul ball, playing the remainder of the 7-game series even though he could hardly speak nor turn his head. 11-18-2003 – P KEN BRETT died at the age of 55 in Spokane, Washington. He was the older brother of Hall of Fame 3B KEN BRETT, and with the BOSTON RED SOX in 1967 he made MLB history becoming the youngest pitcher ever to appear in a World Series at the age of 19 years 1 month, posting 1.1 scoreless innings against the ST. LOUIS CARDINALS.

11-19-1960 – MICKEY VERNON is named as manager of the new WASHINGTON SENATORS.

11-19-1987 – KEVIN COSTNER, SUSAN SARANDON and TIM ROBBINS star in the film "BULL DURHAM", directed by former minor league player RON SHELTON, most of which is filmed at DURHAM ATHLETIC PARK and surrounding locations. The movie release in 1988 brings the DURHAM BULLS national attention and the famous "snorting bull" which was originally to be used only as a prop for the production has remained a staple at the stadium ever since.
